ORGANIC-BASED THERMOELECTRICS

ORGANIC THERMOELECTRIC DEVICES
Thermoelectric materials are able to convert heat into electrical energy, via Seebeck effect, widely applied in generators and sensors. To make an efficient thermoelectric device, it is fundamental to determine the Seebeck coefficient, the thermal and electrical conductivies of the material. Therefore, our group have been developing measuring systems for a complete thermoelectric characterization of novel semiconducting polymers, which are be
applied in flexible thermoelectric generators. Concurrently, we use the finite element simulation to comprehend the processes involved in the thermoelectric devices, thus allowing us to obtain the optimized devices based on the layout.
